Global Food Industries - Snacking Foods Division was established in Sharjah in 2010, as a purpose-built snacking factory certified to the highest international food safety standards. It develops and manufactures a range of own brand snacking products - primarily biscuits and wafers - which are distributed across UAE by Gulf International (an Albatha Consumer Group Company), and exported outside the UAE by the company’s own international sales department.

GFI Snacking Division aims to be a regional leader, seeking opportunities for product innovation, produce quality products and penetrate the market by delivering the needs of the consumers.


glen’da is a twentieth century name with an essence of European tradition. It combines the two elements of glan, meaning “pure & clean” and da, which means “good” representing the freshness of nature. glen’da epitomizes the goodness of pure natural taste.

Production Unit

GFI - Snacking commissioned the world’s most renowned equipment suppliers to purpose-built its snacking production facility. The unit is also certified to the highest international standards including ISO 22000, HACCP.

Research and Development and Quality Controls

In order to provide consumers with ultimate quality and taste, GFI Snacking Foods Division has a dedicated team of quality control specialists. They source raw materials from the world’s finest producers. To maintain and improve quality of products, continuos investments are made towards understanding the changing needs of consumer tastes and in the development of products.

Our Brands


The range focuses on special treats, from Digestive biscuits, wafers, cream cookies and rich crackers. In the near future GFI Snacks is planning several new variants under the glen’da brand.


Amara offers biscuits to cater to everyday snack times. The current range includes great-tasting wafers and crackers, as well as Glucose, Nice, and Malt ’n’ Milk biscuits.
